The Government is coming under increased pressure to open a public tribunal into allegations of abuse in the defence forces.
The Women of Honour Group meets with both the Taoiseach and Tánaiste today to set out the terms of reference it wants for the inquiry into allegations of bullying and sexual abuse of females in the force.
Spokesperson for Women of Honora and retired Army Captain Diane Byrne, says a tribunal is hugely important.
"We're not trying to be difficult. We're looking at this in a very balanced and very measured way.
"This is what needs to be done to bring the Defence Forces to a place where it needs to be which is a safe and fair Defence Forces for the generations to come.
"As it stands the Defence Forces is on its knees, people are leaving in droves. There isn't an appetite to say, and there isn't belief in the system any more."
