After two years of virtual events due to Covid-19, the Women's Mini Marathon returns to the streets of Dublin this Sunday.
2022 marks the 40th year of the event, which will cover a 10km route throughout Dublin city centre.
Spokesperson Sarah Gallagher says this year's event is particularly emotional for many reasons:
"It's a very, very special event. There's just such a sense of emotion and camaraderie amongst the women, they really encourage and support each other as they're doing their 10k. I think they're going to be particularly emotional, getting back on Sunday because the last two years of the event have been virtual. We haven't been able to be on the streets of Dublin, so it's really lovely to be able to return for our 40th year."
