For the first time 'work from home' has appeared in the most popular online search terms on IrishJobs.ie.
Data for the first three months of the year, shows the rate of growth of new jobs advertised on the site grew by 44% in the past year, compared to an 86% annual growth rate for the previous quarter.
Sectors negatively impacted by Covid-19 restrictions have seen the biggest growth in jobs advertised in the past year, with 7 and a half times more jobs advertised in the travel, tourism and airline industries when compared with the start of 2021.
Orla Moran, General Manager of IrishJobs.ie, says the pandemic has impacted people's job searches.
"For the first time, 'work from home' has come in to our top ten most popular searches - we've never had it before but in quarter one it appeared.
"I think with people coming back into the office, or maybe being summoned back into the office, you're seeing more people searching for working from home as one of the key phrases.
"It was interesting to see that come up int he most popular searches from job seekers."
