A worrying new survey suggests the recent payments controversy at RTE could be the first of many.
A poll of compliance experts in the finance sector here, found 3 in 10 are aware of public or private organisations with “questionable” corporate governance.
'Compliance Institute' CEO, Michael Kavanagh, says it raises concerns over the way Irish companies are being run:
"Well, I do think it's very worrying that almost 1/3 of compliance professionals are aware of at least one organisation in the public or private sector, who have questions to answer on corporate governance. So this really does suggest that the recent controversy at RTÉ, which has led to huge public disquiet about pay and corporate governance at the broadcaster could be just one of many to emerge".
