A neighbour has described the moment the body of Michael Foley was discovered in Macroom.
It’s expected a murder investigation will be launched after the 61-year-old was found dead at his home at Barrett’s Place yesterday.
His body has been removed to Cork University Hospital and Assistant State Pathologist Dr Margaret Bolster is due to carry out a post mortem examination.
Tim Horgan was at the scene yesterday and described what happened for RedFM News:
"I knocked on the door and there was no answer and the curtains were closed, it was unusual because he would never have the curtains closed, I met the care worker and I said I haven't seen him in about three or four days and she went in and I waited, she came out and she was in shock."
