A new unmarked Garda lorry is being launched today, in a bid to catch bad behaviour on the roads.
Operation Iompar involves Gardaí using a tractor unit fitted with blue lights to spot motorists and HGV drivers using their phones or not wearing seatbelts.
An unmarked patrol car follows them and then pulls in the offending vehicle.
Sergeant Robert Griffin explains how it works:
"Last year we've seen 18 babies being born in our services. We know that this creates the perpetuation of homelessness across families and we know that children who experience harms and have a higher likelihood of experiencing homelessness as adults, so it's a real concern for us."
