Construction of 302 ‘below market rate’ apartments in the city is due to begin early in the New Year.

The Echo is reporting the majority of the homes will be available as part of the LDA’s Project Tosaigh initiative.
Eligible renters will get tenure for at least 25% below regular market rents in the area, while eligible buyers can avail of the City Council's shared equity scheme.
The LSA also has Project Tosaigh housing developments in Clonmore, Mallow and in Shanakiel on the northside of the city.
