Baltimore RNLI responded to two calls within one hour yesterday evening.
The volunteer lifeboat crew went to the aid of a man on Sherkin Island - after the Irish Coast Guard asked them to provide him with a medical evacuation.
While en route back to the lifeboat station, they noticed a small pleasure craft in difficulty.
The boat, with four passengers on board, had broken down in Baltimore harbour.
The lifeboat crew towed it to a nearby pier in Baltimore Harbour.
The medevac casualty was then brought ashore and proceeded on to Skibbereen for further medical assistance.
