Best-selling novelist Henry Patterson, who wrote 85 books including The Eagle Has Landed, has died aged 92.
Publisher HarperCollins says the author, who wrote under the pseudonym Jack Higgins, was with his family at home in Jersey.
He sold more than 250 million copies - and his works were translated into around 60 languages.
