There's a boost on the way for the hospitality sector ahead of the busy summer season.
Fees for having outdoor tables and chairs outside pubs, restaurants and cafés across the country look set to be waived.
The legal mechanism to charge 125 euro fee per table, was first introduced during the Covid pandemic in 2021.
Minister Darragh O'Brien has confirmed he's to seek Dáil approval to continue the waiver this year, potentially saving hospitality businesses thousands of euro each.
