A children's charity is making an appeal for unwanted Christmas gifts.
Barnardos is calling on the public to donate any excess toys, clothes, shoes and books to its shops across the country.
All money generated will go towards the charity’s work supporting children and families in 2024.
Bernadette Harrington, who is retail manager at Barnardos, says they would be thrilled to receive your unwanted gifts:
"We all talk about a book we love and we've told everybody; and we've made such a good job of it that we've got three of the same book. We'd be delighted to receive any of those unwanted gifts within any of our stores. And if you were to give an unwanted gift, it's really doing much more good if it's being sold with us here in Barnardos, and there's much more demand this year than any other year, we're finding".
