A coroner in the UK has confirmed Sinead O'Connor died from natural causes.

The singer passed away at her flat in London last summer.

The news of Sinead O'Connor's death on July 26th of last year sent shock both across the country and the world.

The 56-year-old was found unresponsive at her flat in Herne Hill, South London, with no cause of death stated.

But today, a London coroner's court confirmed she died of natural causes, and the coroner has "therefore ceased their involvement in her death."

Thousands of people lined the streets near her former home in Bray last August to pay their respects to the singer-songwriter.

It was confirmed earlier today that fans will be able to pay tribute to her once more this year.

A concert in her honour, and former Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan, who died late last year, is to be held in New York in March.
