Investigations are continuing into the multi million euro drugs discovery in Limerick.
A grain ship, docked in Foynes Port, remained under armed guard overnight following the seizure.
A full search is getting underway now.
Journalist David Raleigh has the details of the seizure:
"They seized a significant quantity of drugs in Foynes Port, in County Limerick. It's estimated to be between at least €20 million and €50 million. And at least 300kgs of cocaine are said to have been discovered on this bulk carrier ship, which docked in Foynes yesterday morning. I understand the drugs were concealed in a bale which had a buoyancy aid and some sort of beacon attached".
