Irish politicians are today joining the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign in urging the Government to support South Africa's application to the International Court of Justice, over Israel's campaign in Gaza.
Sinn Fein's Matt Carthy... Richard Boyd Barret from 'People Before Profit'... the Social Democrat's Gary Gannon... Labour's Ivana Bacik and Independent Senator Frances Black, are among those backing the call.
Fatin Al Tamimi, the Vice-chair of the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign says it's urgent and vital.
"The Irish government should support the South African application to the International Court of Justice regarding the Israeli genocide intention and three months long assault on Gaza. This application, of course, seeks the measures to protect the Palestinian people and to bring an end to the genocidal act the Palestinians are facing by Israel".
