It seems more people are travelling South of the border for their Christmas shopping.

Traditionally, people from the Republic would go to places like Newry, Belfast, and Coleraine to get cheaper groceries, alcohol, and presents.

However, since Brexit many shop owners living in the border counties say this trend has changed.

Glyn Williams from North Monaghan says there are particular items they're coming for:

"Cadbury's Eight Block bar here is made in Ireland. In the North, it's made in Poland so everybody comes here for our chocolate. Tayto crisps. There are two Tayto crisps. There's a northern brand and a southern brand. The southern brand is far nicer. So they are coming here for the southern brand because it's far nicer. So they are coming south to pick up the products. Things like Jacob's biscuits which are made here in the south, they're coming across and finding that the price is far better here now".
