One in six suspected offenders of detected sexual violence reported in 2020, were boys.
New CSO figures show that in 2021 four out of every five cases of reported sexual violence incidents involved a victim who was a woman or girl.
More than half of victims, 56 per cent were under 18.
Also last year, the figures show over half of victims of reported physical assault and related offences were men and boys.
