Over 2 million euro is being pumped in to develop outdoor recreation across the country.
Minister for Rural and Community Development Heather Humphrey's says the money will be delivered at county level.
Outdoor Recreation Officer posts have been approved in 6 counties under a 3 year pilot programme, to support the sustainable development of the outdoor recreation sector.
