People are being urged to try learn something new this year.
A study carried out by Amarach found those who learned a new skill in 2022, said it boosted their confidence levels, mental health and job prospects.
Women, those in employment and those with children under 18 are most interested in upskilling.
Higher Education Minister Simon Harris wants people to go for it:
"Research carried out by my Department showed that 54% of those surveyed said they had learned a new skill during the course of the last 12 months. So now as you make your New Year's Resolution, there's a real opportunity to go for it, and to learn that new skill during the course of the year".
