There's been progress in resolving some disagreements over the last day at the Cop 28 summit in Dubai.
A coalition of more than 80 countries, including the US and the EU, are pushing for any deal to include language to "phase-out" fossil fuels.
It's being reported other countries - including South Africa - are pushing back hard.
The UN's climate chief, Simon Stiell, warns "each step back from the highest ambition will cost countless millions of lives".
"The Global Stop Take needs to help all countries get out of this mess. Any strategic landmines that blow it up for one, blow it up for all".
