The Taoiseach has acknowledged the trauma for businesses hit by heavy flooding in Bantry.
Floods following heavy rainfall on Saturday damaged businesses in the town.
The government is promising financial supports to assist those impacted.
Simon Harris says steps will be taken to help those affected.
"We have a significant template at this stage that we tend to roll out and put in place when an area finds itself hit by a flood.
"I know that is no substitute for the trauma that you can experience if your business or your home is flooded.
"There are supports made available to businesses through the Department of Trade and Employment, and to households through the Department of Social Protection."
Fianna Fáil TD for Cork South West, Christopher O'Sullivan says many businesses were left badly impacted by Saturday's flooding.
"It was pretty severe, it happened incredibly quickly.
"I happened to be in Bantry at the time at a fishing sector meeting, you could see the level of water coming down from the hills and the mountains around Bantry, it gave a good indication that something was going to happen.
"The flood itself happened very quickly, around 30 or so premises were flooded or damaged - about 10 or 15 or so were very badly damaged."
Meanwhile, crews from Uisce Eireann were working across the weekend to restore water to customers in east Cork following outages caused by Saturday's orange weather warning.
In a statement issued to RedFM News, Uisce Eireann says that homes and businesses in Killeagh, Mogeely and Ladysbridge have been affected, with repairs expected to be completed this afternoon.
Uisce Éireann’s Cormac Bergin says that every effort is being made to restore water as quickly as possible.
"Heavy rainfall has impacted operations. We understand the inconvenience of unplanned outages and reduced pressure and we thank customers for their support while the repair works are ongoing."
