The Taoiseach says the Government will continue to increase social welfare payments if it remains in power.
Core social welfare rates increased by €12 a week, bringing most to €232 in Budget 2024.
Fine Gael has been in Government since 2016, and jobseekers benefit has increased by just over 10 percent.
Leo Varadkar says he wants to continue increasing those payments:
"Provided the country can afford it and provided we stick with the economic policies that have worked for Ireland, we will continue to increase pensions and welfare in the years to come".
