A man in his 30s is continuing to be questioned by Gardai in relation to the investigation into the disappearance and murder of Kyran Durnin.

Kyran Durnin was reported missing in August of this year but Gardai believe he was last seen alive in 2022.

Yesterday, Gardai searched two properties in County Louth in relation to the investigation.

Many UK retailers have worked with ferry companies to find other routes into Ireland while Holyhead stays closed.

An Post says larger ferries are now accessing this country from Wales, Scotland and Liverpool through Rosslare Europort, Larne and Dublin Port.

It says the backlog of parcels in Holyhead for An Post has been reduced from around 500,000 to 150,000 by re-routing.
