The United Nations is determined to keep UNIFIL forces in Lebanon despite calls from the Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu to have them withdrawn
During the past week the Israeli military has fired on peacekeepers, stopped logistics and injured more than a dozen of its troops in southern Lebanon.
The attacks have have been widely condemned by the international community.

All Government Departments and agencies will be required to accept cash under a new strategy going to Cabinet this morning.
Finance Minister Jack Chambers will brief colleagues on the National Payments Strategy telling them cash is important particularly for older consumers.
The strategy sets out that any new contracts the Government enters into involving a service the public pays for, will contain a clause mandating a cash option for payment.

Sporting bodies will have their state funding halved if they don't reach gender targets on their boards.
The Sports Action plan is being brought to Cabinet this morning and will include plans to slash funding if a 50 per cent gender quota isn't reached.
The plan also intends to examine how suitable school uniforms are for encouraging girls to participate in sport.
