Flu vaccines will be offered for children at walk-in clinics across the country today and tomorrow.
2 to 17 year-olds will be able to avail of the dose at 14 clinics in 13 counties today, including:
Nemo Rangers GAA Club, Trabeg, South Douglas Road, Ballinlough, Co. Cork, T12 R2PC: Thursday, 28th December, 10am - 2pm.
Newtown Vaccination Centre, Newtown, Bantry, Co. Cork, P75 H304: Friday, 29th December, 10am - 3pm.
It' due to the rising number of flu cases this month.
The HSE says 631 were reported during the second week of December, compared to 283 the week before:
"If you go hse.ie/flu and you go to the children's vaccine pages, you'll be able to find a list of our walk-in clinics. The clinics are running today and tomorrow, the 28th and 29th. But if you haven't had an opportunity to visit one of those clinics, you can also go to your local GP and pharmacy as well. If you go to hse.ie/flu, you'll also be able to find our Pharmacy Finder Service".
