300 new jobs are to be created nationwide with Cork set to benefit.
The care support roles are being created by Nua Healthcare Services which already employs more than 1,800 people.
The company provides private sector intellectual disability and mental health services and is also looking to hire workers in other sectors.
Chief Operating Officer with Nua Healthcare Services, Shane Kenny says the jobs will start being rolled out across Ireland this year.
"WE have a wide range in Dublin, Mayo, Waterford, Tipperary, Cork, Kilkenny, Meath, Westmeath, Cavan and Roscommon.
"Those are the areas we're starting off with, and that's between now and the end of the year.
"We're looking at about 100 new employees per month for the rest of the year."
