The LA Lakers star surpassed the legendary Kareem Abdul Jabbar's record - James needed 36 points to bring his total to 38, 388 and finished with 38 points in a game that the Lakers lost to Oklahoma City Thunder, 133-130
The record had stood for 39 years.
