Protestors, many of whom travelled from Cork under the Better Maternity Care banner, are calling for hospital guidelines to be changed to allow partners to attend all scans.
While health minister Stephen Donnelly has previously said these measures should be removed, restrictions remain in place at many hospitals.
These demonstrators, who gave birth during the pandemic, say the limits on partner visits were devastating:
"So I was a high risk pregnancy, and he was at none, absolutely nothing. I had to go for emergency C section, loads had happened and he wasn't there; it was quite traumatic."
"It's such a significant life event you're at one of your most vulnerable points, and to have to do it on your own is it's really tough and I can't understand why, why it's still going on. I can't understand."
