Over €20,000 has been raised for Make A Wish by a grieving Cork father whose son died in hospital after he was found unresponsive in a car in Dunmore East in February.

James Healy held the fundraiser in Watergrasshill yesterday to mark his son Matthew Healy's 7th birthday.

People can still donate to https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/MatthewHealyMemorial

James Healy who set up the fundraiser said:

"Thank you for taking the time to visit my memorial page for Matthew Healy Memorial

I've chosen to fundraise for Make-A-Wish Ireland . All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause.

Matthew Healy died on the 09th of Feb this year, he would have celebrated his 7 th birthday on Friday the 17 th of May. To celebrate his birthday and in his memory, a motorcycle and vintage car gathering/run will be held in Watergrasshill (T56 DE24) on the 19 th of May from 1pm, run commencing at 2pm with music and food trucks afterwards from 3-6pm. All proceeds and donations will go to Make A Wish, a charity which reflects Matthew’s fun and adventurous character.  Your support is greatly appreciated on this, thank you.
