Over two thirds of new jobs created by businesses supported by Enterprise Ireland last year were outside of Dublin.

Over 15 thousand new roles were announced by Irish companies which export around the world - a net gain of five thousand.

It brought the total number of staff working at Enterprise Ireland-supported companies to record high of over 225 thousand.

Enterprise Minister Simon Coveney says it's a boost for Irish businesses:

"In virtually every region of the country, we've seen growth in terms of employment numbers in Irish companies. Let's not forget that Enterprise Ireland supported Irish companies that are going global, becoming Irish multinationals if you like".
