Parents have expressed their frustration as another childcare facility in Cork has announced its closure.
The childcare facility, within the Cobh Family Resource Centre, sent a letter to families saying it will not be reopening next month.
The board says the closure is due to the on-going lack of funds and increase in over head costs.
Jennifer, a parent who received a letter from the centre told the Neil Prendeville Show the closure came out of no where:
"There was no hint of this coming, you know, there was nothing. so my question is, they obviously knew this was coming. So if it was, you know, if they did everything they could to get the money, why wasn't it made clear to the community, we would have stepped in and tried to do something, some sort of fundraising, tried to come up with other ways to keep the center open."
