Parents in North Cork are calling on the Minister of Education and Bus Eireann to give every child a school bus ticket.

12 students from Glenville who attend St.Colman's College in Fermoy still have no way of getting to school because there aren't any more seats on the bus.

Parents say they contacted the school bus operator and were told a larger bus is available to bring the 12 extra students but they need the green light from Bus Eireann and the Department of Education.

Niamh Kelleher lives in Glenville and sends her two sons to St Colman's in Fermoy.

Speaking to RedFM News, Niamh says even if her sons moved school they would still have no bus to get there:

"They're just leaving down the people of Glenville because it's an ongoing situation and it's quite embarrassing and isolating for our children. Some children are going into school late. Some children are coming home from school early because the parents need to work and you know, it's just really really really unfair."
