Parents are in shock after a pre-school on the northside of the city announced it won't be opening its doors for the start of the school term next week.
Before 5 Family Centre in Churchfield announced the permanent closure yesterday by sending messages to parents.
The pre-school on Churchfield Hill has been in operation for 50 years and has pre-school spaces for up to 100 children and is the second pre-school in the city to announce its closure this month.
In a statement released yesterday, the Board of the Before 5 Family Centre said that "due to a myriad of different reasons such as financial challenges, changes in regulations, operation challenges, and recruitment issues" they would be closing their doors.
Donna Cambridge had enrolled her son Jackson to start at the pre-school in Churchfield next week.
