Parents of children at a special school on the northside of the city are to mount a demonstration tomorrow demanding therapists for the school.
No therapies have been provided at St. Killian's Special School in Mayfield since 2019 and the school has been excluded from a pilot programme which returns therapies to some schools
St. Killians is the biggest special school in Munster with 104 students and parents say their children rely on these therapies and should be included in the programme.
Fiona Coughlan's daughter attends the school and she told RedFM News that she will be standing with other parents at tomorrow's lunchtime protest:
"St. Killians has been omitted from this and we are devastated. We are the largest special school in Munster. We have 104 students and our children need these therapies, they are vital and we need them now. We cannot wait any longer."
