Parents with children living at home are the least optimistic about their financial wellbeing.
A survey carried out by Amarach Research for Pennys, found half of parents with children under 18 are struggling month to month due to the increase in the cost of living.
Gerard O'Neill from Amarach who carried out the research says it's been a tough couple of years for parents:
"They're really struggling. Two thirds almost are telling us that they hardly have any money left at the end of the month, after they pay all the utility bills and groceries etc."
