A passenger who suffered severe turbulence on a flight from Doha to Dublin says it was a terrifying experience.
12 people were injured when the Qatar Airways flight hit turbulence while flying over Turkey yesterday morning.
The flight landed in Dublin at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon and 8 people were taken to hospital.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show, Passenger Philomena Prendergast says it was a frightening flight:
"We had read about the thing that happened in Singapore just the week before, and had said, like, good god, you know, we leave on our bills just to be on the safe side. and it's just like, when it's happening, you're like, is this it? and I hadn't met my granddaughter, she was born while I was gone, and I was thinking, God, will I ever even see her? like, all these things going through your head. and I was trying to kind of help my aunt and uncle, who were screaming, of course, at this stage."
