A post-mortem examination is expected to take place today on the body of stabbing victim Thomas Dooley.
He died after being attacked while attending a funeral at Rath Cemetery in Tralee yesterday.
His wife, Siobhán, is still being treated in University Hospital Kerry with non-life threatening injuries.
Kerry journalist, Anne Lucey, says the cemetery has a history of violence:
"Rath Cemetraty has been the scene of a number of violent disorder incidents in recent years.
"Large quantities of weapons, including slashhooks, were recovered there in 2014 in one incident.
"The Gardai actually prevented a major violent incident on that occasion."
