100 patients without a bed in Cork hospitals today

669 people including 28 children are on trolleys in hospitals around the country today.

There are 100 patients without a bed in Cork, including 72 in CUH and 28 in the Mercy University Hospital.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says its extremely concerning, and called for capacity from the private sector to be provided immediately.

University Hospital Limerick is experiencing the worst overcrowding, followed by Cork University Hospital, Letterkenny University Hospital, and St. James’ Hospital in Dublin.

The INMO is demanding the HSE takes immediate action in the worst hit spots.
