2 Men Convicted In Connection With The Deaths Of 39 Vietnamese Migrants Found In A Lorry In Essex

One of the men convicted is from Northern Ireland

The Old Bailey heard they suffocated in the container after crossing last year from Belgium to England.

Of the four defendants, so far two have been found guilty of manslaughter – lorry driver Eamonn Harrison, who’s 24 and from Newry in County Down, and 43 year-old Gheorghe Nica from Basildon in Essex.
