24 children under the age of 14 presented at Sexual Assault Treatment Units last year, after being attacked.
A further 78 were aged between 14 and 16.
In total, almost 22 per cent of those who attended the units last year, were younger than 18 years old.
Cliona Sadlier, from the Rape Crisis Network Ireland, says the figures are very concerning.
