637 patients waiting for a bed in Irish hospitals

637 patients admitted to hospital are waiting for beds this morning.

Over 500 are waiting on trolleys in emergency departments, while over 100 are waiting elsewhere in hospitals.

Cork University Hospital is the second most crowded hospital in the country with 63 patients waiting on a bed, with Limerick University Hospital the hospital experiencing the worst over crowding with 91 patients on trolleys.

18 patients are waiting on a bed in the Mercy University Hospital, with 10 in Bantry General.

A total of 28 children are waiting on a bed nationwide.
