74 patients without a bed in Cork hospitals

74 patients are waiting for a bed at two Cork hospitals today.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says 57 patients are waiting on trolleys at Cork University Hospital, while there are 26 people without a bed at the Mercy.

University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded hospital in the country with 74 on trolleys.

Nationally, there are 531 people without a hospital bed today.
