AIB is increasing interest rates for new fixed mortgages by 0.5%.
It doesn't affect current customers or those who draw down a mortgage with the bank by November 14th.
AIB says it has only passed on interest rises to customers they are obliged to.
The ECB has announced two price hikes in the past few months, adding up to 1.25%.
