Alec Baldwin formally charged with involuntary manslaughter

Alec Baldwin has been formally charged with involuntary manslaughter over the death of Halyna Hutchins.

The cinematographer died in October 2021 after a prop gun held by the 64-year-old actor was discharged during rehearsals for the western film Rust.

The actor has vowed to fight the charges against him, with his lawyer calling the case a “terrible miscarriage of justice.”
