Almost 50,000 parking fines and 1000 litter fines were issued by the City Council last year.
That’s according to data released to The Echo under the Freedom of Information Act.
Reasons suggested for the large number of parking fines include the hiring of extra traffic wardens by the City Council, an increase in traffic since the ending of lockdown restrictions and the expansion of the city bounds.
