Appeal issued for 1,000 Cork households to take part in project to monitor air quality

The Environmental Protection Agency and An Taisce have made the call for their Clean Air Together initiative.

The project includes placing an air monitor in homes to scan for the pollutant nitrogen dioxide during the month of October.

Also known as N-O-2, it comes mainly from cars, vans and trucks – it’s harmful to the heart and lungs.
