Army bomb disposal unit detonate small suspicious device in the city

The device which is believed to have been historic is reported to have been found in the garden of a home on Hartlands Avenue off Glasheen Road this afternoon.
A number of homes on the residential street were evacuated and the Irish Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team were tasked to the scene.
