At least 160 people Confirmed Dead in floods across Europe
At least 160 people have now died in floods across Europe, which have destroyed homes, swept away cars and caused mass outages to phone lines and internet connections.
That’s hampered rescue efforts, as more than one-thousand people are still missing.
Aerial pictures show a massive landslide at a gravel pit, on the edge of Erfstadt in Germany.
The country’s among the worst affected.
Monica Decker lives in the village of Arloff:
“You don’t expect people to die in a flood in Germany. You expect it maybe in poor countries but you don’t expect it here. But it was all too fast, too quick.”
