Baltimore RNLI Responded To Two Calls Within One Hour Yesterday Evening

Baltimore RNLI responded to two calls within one hour yesterday evening.

The volunteer lifeboat crew went to the aid of a man on Sherkin Island – after the Irish Coast Guard asked them to provide him with a medical evacuation.

While en route back to the lifeboat station, they noticed a small pleasure craft in difficulty.

The boat, with four passengers on board, had broken down in Baltimore harbour.

The lifeboat crew towed it to a nearby pier in Baltimore Harbour.

The medevac casualty was then brought ashore and proceeded on to Skibbereen for further medical assistance.
