Beat the January blues by grabbing lunch in one of these Cork spots
If there is one thing Cork is not short of it’s brilliant food spots and great local produce.
At this time of year its hard to figure out how to fill your days off.
The evenings are still dark, hospitality is still closed at 8pm and I’m sure a large portion of people you know are going ‘Dry’ for the month of January (not consuming alcohol).
However, all chances at a social life are not lost, why not take a venture into one of these gorgeous spots for lunch.
This gorgeous spot located on Washington Street is perfect for all your lunch and brunch needs. They serve both seven days a week; Monday to Saturday from 8am to 3.30pm, Sunday 9am to 3pm. The menu hosts a wide range of dishes, with local produce at the heart of each one.
SALT food & wine
If you’re looking for fine dining, in an intimate location, SALT food & wine has it all. Located just outside of Cork City on Victoria Road, it is most definitely worth the trip. Open Tuesday to Thursday 9am to 5pm, Friday and Saturdays 9am to 10pm and Sundays 9am to 5pm.
Ali’s Kitchen prides itself on serving ‘Creative healthy nourishing dishes, snacks and bakes using lots of local produce, no refined sugars or flours!’ They are located at Rory Gallagher Place, Paul St, Centre, Cork and have something for everyone.
Located in the Merchant’s Quay Shopping Centre, The Pantry is the place to be if you’re craving a delicious stack of waffles. They are open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5.30pm and Sundays from 12 noon to 5.30pm.
Orso Kitchen & Bar
Although Orso are closed until the 10th of January due to the ongoing pandemic restrictions, you should definitely consider heading to them later in the month. Their gorgeous lunch menu is served Monday to Saturday from 11:30am to 3:00pm.
