Blockade outside Clare hotel lifted

Protestors have been given assurances there will be no more people moved in to Inch in County Clare over the next 4 weeks.
The blockade on a road outside Magowna House Hotel where asylum seekers are being accommodated has been lifted.
Clare TD Michael McNamara says the visit of Junior Integration Minister Joe O’Brien has done a lot to diffuse the situation.
“I do think the situation has been deescalated considerably by that meeting.
“It’s a pity there wasn’t a degree of communication and consultation in advance of people being brought there, but I expect the Government wont’ be repeating that mistake in Inch or anywhere else around the country.”
